spotlight on: FLUKE

I don't know what it says, but the braille vase is simply beautiful. Although it's obviously not designed as an tool for the blind, the use of braille as a texture brings awareness to blindness without being patronizing.

The rest of the Fluke collection is equally fabulous - modern minimalism with a touch of wry humor. Take the Titanic lamp for example; an all white traditional looking lamp that seems to have sunk into the table. How odd!

Hi there, thanks for you lovely words on my blog. I see you too are a UK-California hop-a-bout like me, but in a more permanent capacity. I smiled at your profile page list of films...The Ghost & Mrs Muir, I love that film (if it's the one where she's living in the house of an old sea captain).
