in the pink
I am literally knee deep in pink - I broke my ankle and now sport a bright pink cast. So this week will be somewhat of an homage to pink. Which is fabulous; pink is feel good color and was my favorite color when I was 6.And yes, I did have a choice of cast colors, but in my vidocine haze pink seemed like a great idea - although I managed to resist the lure of glitter!
FEATURING (clockwise):

little black bag

I just love little black bags. Discreet, but large enough to hold the essentials - lipstick, credit card, keys.
Sabrina Love's bags are delightfully classic, but modern at the same time. You can almost imagine Audrey Hepburn plucking some girlish necessity from within!

the art of wood

When Joe Futschik of JefDesigns emailed me about his new collection of silkscreen wood panels, I was amazed by the design and touched by the sentiment. One of the pieces, Fritillia, was dedicated to his mother who died from cancer early this year.
Each one is a signed limited edition print and feature a variety of sea creatures. What I love about JefDesigns, is that the work is undoubtedly modern, but the influence of nature boldly apparent.
Of course, any blogger worth their salt would have blogged about the new collection months ago. But, as usual, I felt compelled to find some other wonderful examples of art-on-wood pieces. I did throw in a cutting board, but go ahead, hang it on the wall anyway - it's lovely!

ties are beck

Casual Fridays did a lot to the demise of the "neck noose". In those days, polyester and gravy stained ties were the unstylish domain of the traveling salesman. The hipsters - well they rebelled against all that and the hip casual t-shirt style was born.
Now it is the time for another revolution - this time for dress up Fridays. Let's leave our graphic tees and jeans behind just for one day a week. Go out for a liquid lunch. A round of golf. This time - girls allowed!
Ties by Sovereign Beck. Available online through WHAT designers.

the whitehouse
There is something serene about these pure white structures. I just love the dreamy quality of the white tee pees on the beach. Although my reality, 3 little boys, is more sleepless than dreamlike. And on to the white, that's out for now - but one can dream!CLOCKWISE:
